I am sure everyone has heard about the Jussie Smollett case, he is an actor who claimed to be a part of a hate crime due to his sexuality and race. However it has turned out to be a hoax and a lie. He paid two individuals to attack him. A lot of people are angry and outraged because they were generally concerned for him and were very vocal about coming to his defence.
There are have been a lot of people both famous and non famous who have went to great lengths to create lies to gain attention and garner money from the public. There have been people who have lied about cancer, their child being sick, being abused and raped. A lot of people are confused as to why someone would make up such a big lie? I feel like the truth always has a way of coming out, always.
I think it all comes down to having morals and being a good person. A lot of people that do this are very narcissist and attention seekers. They will do everything and anything to get sympathy and attention. Always think about your actions, what are your intentions, what is the outcome. Think about other people’s feelings. Lying is never okay. The truth always has a way of coming out. And you will have to pay for the consequences that your actions have caused. In a lot of these cases these individuals were made to pay the consequences, some of them lost their jobs, their relationships and some got jail time. In the end it is never worth it.
